Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone!

I hope that you all had an awesome Thanksgiving!

We had an awesome opportunity this Saturday to go to the Temple to see the Christmas lights turn on! The lights are beautiful. The Espinosa family came with us! They are a wonderful family who have a great desire to have an eternal family. The Lord has prepared them in marvelous ways to receive the gospel into their lives and I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to participate in their path back to their loving Heavenly Father.

Speaking of our loving Heavenly Father, check out this video about what he gave for us!

On Wednesday last week we were blessed with the chance to give some service at a kitchen for homeless people. We were there from 10 until 1 serving food and talking with them. It's really interesting to see these people who have nothing and yet they are so happy. It strengthens my testimony that the material things in the world don't bring happiness. Our families, friends, and our belief in  Christ is what brings us happiness.
For Thanksgiving we got fed by the Perry's, one of the counselors in the bishopric. We helped the Diaz Sanchez family make tamales! Interesting seeing the contrast between a traditional thanksgiving dinner and the Mexican spin on it. By the end of the night, I was exceptionally well fed. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be out here serving the Lord and working with his sons and daughters. I'm grateful for this Christmas season and the chance that we have to think about our Savior Jesus Christ and the gift from our Father in Heaven that he is. I encourage us all to think about that gift, do a little bit more to show our appreciation for it by being more Christlike, and sharing the gift that he is with those we know. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and support!

Until next week,
Elder Fuge
