"Take care of Wonderbread"

Yesterday we were out walking to appointments and we ran into Richard, one of the local homeless. He was just a little intoxicated, and went off about how Elder Ishigaki is a tough guy and that I need to listen to everything he says to be safe. As we were walking away he screamed out to Elder Ishigaki to "take care of wonderbread" aka me. It was a pretty funny conversation. Those conversations are really interesting and I learn a lot about Heavenly Father's love for his children during them.

This week we had a lot of progress with our investigators and 2 exchanges. The first was with Elder Muniz in his area. It was really interesting to work with another new missionary( this is his first transfer). I was really able to see how the Lord takes care of our inadequacies and helps the work to progress through us despite our faults. The second exchange was the exact opposite, I had the opportunity to work with Elder Steiner in his area, he's one of our zone leaders. I learned a great deal about how to teach by the spirit and the power of it. One miracle we got to see this week was that one of our previous investigators called us and really wants to get baptized, he was humbled by some very difficult experiences and is progressing fantastically now.

I love the opportunity to see the atonement work in the lives of the people we teach. They are filled with such excitement and it's a great blessing to see the change that occurs. I invite all of us to think about our Savior this Christmas season and try to be more like him so that we can experience the same joy that these people are just starting to discover!

I love each of you and thank you for your support.

Elder Fuge
